Having a team of highly experienced Marine Engineer professionals in the field, NMS has the capability to operate all types of cargo and tanker vessels. Ships assigned to Technical Superintendents are inspected at regular intervals of three months by them to ensure a very close follow-up/feed-back and co-ordination of shipboard activities vis-à-vis shore team. NMS has the flexibility to meet all owners' needs for regular technical and accounting reports. NMS is geared up to providing any information required - at all time to its Esteemed Ship Owners. Vessel maintenance & Operating costs of the vessels are closely monitored to ensure Owners’ budgetary Limits. NMS has on stand-by experienced Riding Repair teams who can be sent on board at short notice to undertake ‘afloat ’repairs, which to a good extent cuts the idle time of vessels and instead adds to Owners’ Revenue earning days.
NMS Can carry out sale and Pre-purchase inspections, independent vessel condition surveys, Underwater Hull and Propeller inspection, still and video shots etc globally, for all types of ships at economical rates.
NMS has an experienced and capable New Building Supervision team and can provide full new building supervision services right from design stage to delivery of the vessel. Our services include project viability study, plan approval and design modifications as required to comply with current regulations and operational requirements of the Owners.
NMS offers superintendence services for special projects such as vessel Conversions, preparing Dry Dock specifications, attending Dry Dock repairs, Quadrannual Surveys etc. NMS can also provide experienced Port Captains to supervise loading / discharging operations of Dry Cargo, Bulk Cargo and Tanker Vessels as also cleaning operations of cargo holds & or cargo tanks.
NMS provides its Esteemed Ship owners with all types of Crewing Solutions. NMS sources and place them on-board Owners’ ships after Screening, arranging marine training wherever required, arranging all travel formalities including visa arrangement. NMS recruited seafarers meet the very highest technical and operational standards. All personnel fully comply with STCW 2010 requirements and have the necessary experience relevant to the type of tonnage to which they are appointed. Being in a unique position to resourcing from an exclusive pool of Officers and Ratings, NMS overall objective is to provide stability and continuity of personnel supply, bringing significant benefits to the performance of a prospective client’s fleet. NMS serves in niche areas like Tankers, Dry Cargo, Containers and Cruise Liners , by retaining a personal approach to customers and providing tailor made solutions to their crewing requirement. NMS have competent and professional staff with well-equipped offices having associates in India as also associates in Indonesia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Philippines, China, Russia and Ukraine.
Crew selection is based on computerized vocation test (CES 4.1). For tankers, we pay particular attention to the knowledge of TMSA and oil major vetting practices for officers. NMS is presently in the process of procuring TOTS modules from Inter-Tanko. A thorough check is also done of their passports, visas, educational qualifications, seamen’s books, and certificate authenticity. The candidates are sourced by two methods –(i) new recruitments and (ii) from the current pool of seafarers. NMS have a pool strength of more than 400 Deck and Engine Officers along with around 700 Ratings under their administration and have a database of around 2000 seafarers from the Cruise industry. The India Office has the sole responsibility of Crewing under direction from Singapore Office. All Seafarers’ joining process and documentation are handled by our India office with the co-ordination from Singapore office.
For the convenience of both owners as well as seafarers, NMS also undertakes monthly wage disbursement in a cost effective manner, benefitting the Owners as well as the Seafarers.
